Chilli Jack Burger

  • 500g Beef mince
  • 2 tablespoons Sweet chilli sauce
  • 1 medium sized egg beaten
  • 1 red chilli finely chopped (optional for extra heat)
  • 4 thick slices Monterey jack cheese
  • 4 x Burger buns split in half horizontally
  • 4 large gherkins thinly sliced
  • A Light dusting of plain flour


  1. Mix the mince with the chopped chilli and 1 tablespoon of chilli sauce
  2. Add beaten egg and mix thoroughly, form into 4 evenly sized burgers and dust with plain flour
  3. Grill or bbq burgers for 6-10 minutes until cooked through
  4. Place a slice on Monterey Jack on each burger and grill until melted and bubbling
  5. Spread one slice of bun with chilli sauce and arrange gherkins slices on base of bun, place the burger inside bun and serve immediately
