Chocolate chip cookies

  • 250g Dragon butter, softened
  • 200g light brown soft sugar
  • 250g caster sugar
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 450g self-raising flour
  • 300-400g chocolate chips (milk, dark, white or mixed)


  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/ 350F, gas mark 4
  2. Cream butter and sugars and combine in the egg and vanilla
  3. Sift in the flour, then mix in the chocolate chips thoroughly
  4. Roll the mixture into walnut size balls or roll into sausage shape and slice
  5. Place on baking tray lined with greaseproof paper and bake for 7-10 minutes, depending how gooey you want them!
  6. Take out of the oven and leave to cool and harden for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire cooling rack
  7. You can freeze the rest of the dough until next time
